Industry leading companies team up to expand adoption of solar power

DENVER, Jan. 17, 2022 – Pivot Energy, a Denver-based solar farm developer, and Solar On Earth, a community solar acquisition company with offices in Massachusetts and Illinois, have announced a partnership to expand adoption of Community Solar programs in Colorado. Their current focus in on twelve community solar projects being built in the state with a potential output of up to 10 megawatts. The first solar farm is expected to be ready for operation later in 2022 or early 2023.

Pivot Energy has been developing solar farms nationally with the goal of helping to accelerate the transition to clean energy. The company develops, finances, builds, and manages community and commercial solar project around the country. The company has been a certified B Corporation since November of 2013.

Solar On Earth is a leading acquisition company for the Community Solar industry with the goal of making solar energy available for everyone, everywhere. Since 2015, the company has been developing a time-tested method of bringing qualified subscribers into Community Solar programs from Maine to Maryland and recently in Illinois, Minnesota, and Colorado.

Both companies have worked together on previous projects to bring clean, affordable solar energy to homeowners, renters, business owners, and organizations.

In Colorado, the solar farms (often called “solar gardens”) are in the Xcel Energy utility territories.
