We are seeking a highly motivated Inside Sales Representative to support the growth of our community solar and renewable energy solutions business. This role focuses on engaging commercial, institutional, and municipal customers to enroll in community solar programs and adopt clean energy solutions. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced sales environment, understands consultative selling, and is comfortable engaging with decision-makers at large organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and develop new sales opportunities through outbound calls, email campaigns, and inbound lead follow-up
- Educate commercial, municipal, and institutional clients on the financial and environmental benefits of community solar participation
- Manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities using CRM tools
- Conduct virtual presentations and discovery calls with prospective clients
- Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to move deals through the sales funnel
- Maintain detailed records of activities, opportunities, and customer communications
- Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Support proposal generation and contract execution
- Stay current on renewable energy trends, incentives, and regulatory programs
Required Qualifications
- 2–5+ years of inside sales or business development experience
- Proven track record of meetings or exceeding sales quotas
- Experience selling into commercial, municipal, or institutional markets preferred
- Strong phone presence and professional communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
- Experience using CRM platforms
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-driven
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in renewable energy, community solar, energy services, or utilities a plus
- Familiarity with B2B subscription-based or contract-based sales
